Good morning, Oglala Lakota County School District Parents, Students, and Staff.
This is Connie Kaltenbach, Superintendent. Due to the heat predictions for today, Wednesday, and tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday, we will release students at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to keep the students safe and comfortable. This applies to all our schools: Batesland, Red Shirt, Rockyford, Wolf Creek, Lakota Tech High School, and the Virtual High School. Staff will follow their regular dismissal schedule. Bus drivers and bus monitors are welcome to head out once their bus runs are complete.
