Good evening, Oglala Lakota County School District Staff, Students, and Families. This is Connie Kaltenbach, Superintendent. First, I apologize for the late call.
There will be no school for students in OLCSD schools tomorrow. That includes Batesland, Red Shirt, Rockyford, Wolf Creek, Lakota Tech, and the Virtual High School. Staff will report for a late start, 2 hours after the normal start time.
Due to anticipated conditions, we had originally planned for an early dismissal tomorrow. Rather than having both a late start and early dismissal, we have decided to cancel school for students for the full day.
Staff should plan for a late start tomorrow. We will communicate any staff adjustments as needed based on road conditions.
At this time, we had planned for the Teca Wacipi Okolokiciye at Pine Ridge and for both the LTHS GBB and BBB games. We will adjust as needed based on tomorrow's road conditions and cancellations.
