Happy Day to the Staff of Oglala Lakota County School District!
I hope the summer brought you some time to rejuvenate and restore yourself. The wellness of our organization begins with each one of us.
As we prepare for the 2023-2024 school year, the maintenance, custodial and transportation teams have been working hard to get the buses and buildings ready for the new school year. Principals and directors are working on schedules and plans. We want everyone to feel welcome, safe, supported, and successful in our school system.
We have several trainings coming up the week of August 7th, and then we will host District Inservice at Rockyford School on Monday, August 14th at 7:30 AM with breakfast. Our session will begin at 8:30 AM. We have a lot of information to start the year, come early, share the meal, and catch up with friends. We have a great lunch planned and door prizes. In the afternoon, we will break into teams for some position-specific training. We are gearing our day to be one of learning and growing as we celebrate our great Oglala Lakota County Team. If you could order your shirt in the first wave, we hope to have them on hand for you to pick up. If you ordered later, we will ensure your shirt gets to you when it ships.
Come with an open mind, kind heart, and brave spirit. We have important work ahead of us for the great children we serve.
