We extend a heart felt virtual hand shake from the VHS Principal, Teachers and Coordinators. I am Melvin Sierra the VHS principal and I am very happy to welcome you back to another great year of Virtual Learning. Our hopes and dreams for the students of the Oglala Lakota County Virtual High School is to ultimately complete their high school degree and to continue to grow in their education at their own pace, own time, and own place.

Also a Big "Thank You" to the Oglala Lakota County Board of Education for the opportunity to serve our Lakota students. It is imperative that our students, at the secondary level/grades/ages, find a stepping stone so that they can move forward in their education. Our students take the opportunity to complete their high school online degree at off-site or at one of our computer lab classrooms. It is simple but it is not easy. Online courses are for those students that are passionate about completing a high school degrees. We do afford the students a place to access course work and give course completion incentives as well as Career and Cultural field trips. Students must be prepared to work at a pace set by themselves. They must be self-motivated with good study skills/habits.
